What is a Sound Font? (.sf2)

Sound Fonts (.sf2) are an easy way to load multi sampled sounds into your VST sampler or synth. Compatible samplers include: Halion, NN-XT, Kontakt, ESX24 and many commercial and freeware VST instruments.
