Logic Tips: removing MIDI CC data in Logic Pro

 Often you’ll find a MIDI file that contains unwanted MIDI Controller Channel data, this can cause all sorts of problems when the MIDI file is played back both in VST & hardware synths.Luckily Logic provides an easy way to identify and delta this these unwanted controller messages leaving you free to get creative without undesirable effects on your sounds!

 

1) Select the region in the Arrange window.

2) Press Command – 0 to open the Event List.

3) Select the unwanted MIDI CC’s & press backspace to delete (you can also use the eraser tool in the Event window). ensure that you do not delete any entries marked “Note” as this will remove the notes from your MIDI sequence!
