What is MIDI?

MIDI files contain the note and timing data needed to recreate a piece of music in any MIDI sequencer software. This makes MIDI files like those you’ll find on DMS much more versatile than sampled sounds since you can easily re-arrange this data to create a new arrangement or simply use it as an inspiration to create your own unique music.
